The Scavenger
The Scavenger is an avant-garde short that stems from a passion for both poetry and film. Through the lens of a Super 8mm camera, directors Jessica A. Walters and Thomas P. Quinn explore the meaning behind the search for happiness, and the conflict embedded within the duality of the journey versus the destination. It is simultaneously an enactment of the search and the search itself. It is presented here in linear time, but is intended for constant and continuous projection, reminiscent of the cycles that the film aims to dissect.
